    I gave this four stars, but I was really torn on that.OVERALL, this book is an amazing blend of works on early modern science from the past fifty years. I was so excited to see that she was inspired by Frances Yates, as that is a scholar from which I also draw tremendous inspiration. Coudert's conversation between major works of history of science and the philosophical writings of poststructuralists also adds a much-needed dimension to a survey work on religion, science and the occult.
