This is a remarkably imaginative story. I was so touched that I more than found myself laughing with the main character, crying with her, obfuscating with her, and trying to make sense of the phenomenal gift she is given even though it came with as many pains as amazing highs. I was so moved by her dreamseir possible meaning and their potential insights stay with me till this moment. This book is full of passion and love. Plus, I felt myself filled with powerful feelings penetrating my soul. Out [...]

I don't generally like novellas, especially with the current trend of serial novellas, because I would prefer to just get the whole story in a single book rather than spread out over three short novellas. This is not a serial novella (I don't think) and it really felt like it was a complete book, albeit a short one. However, the length worked. The story was told to completion, it had closure even if the closure wasn't entirely satisfying (but not every book ending makes me happy), and adding mor [...]

Her Name — Alicia Joseph (10 chapters + 1) July 19-20, 2017This is not a happy-go-lucky book. It was kind of sad to be honest. Or maybe it was my mood at the time. Either way, I was looking for a happy, happy book and this ain’t it. So be forewarned!Otherwise, this was a quick read. It was a decent. It did bother me that the protagonist got caught up repeatedly in her issue as she tried to figure out who this dream gal was. It seemed like it kept going on and on. And even though this was a n [...]

Her Name was a fast read. I read it in one sitting. Even if it were a longer story, I don’t think that I could have stopped reading until I was finished. This story, about a woman named Madison was engaging right away. I was immediately drawn into her life and dreams. It starts out with a dream that I think we would all like to have regardless of gender. The dream has deep emotional meaning and all of the dreams in this book are filled with a love so strong you can feel it. She sometimes loves [...]

Beautiful story about a woman seeking what she thinks she can't have, and learning to look at what she's missing by focusing only on what she thinks she can't have. Lovely, moving, and eye-opening.

"Did you ever have a dream where you woke feeling like it was real?" This is the perfect quote for this book. From the moment I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I just had to know what happened and what was going on. There were moments where I though Madison was going crazy, just like she did. At other times I felt her frustration of no one understanding what she was going through.Madison has dreams that feel so real that she expects to wake up next to the most ama [...]

HER NAME was an anomaly for me in a number of ways. It’s a novella for one (I generally prefer longer reads), it’s f/f, for another, and it’s kind of chiclit-y. The paranormal aspect—in the original, dictionary sense, not the shapeshifter/vampire genre that it’s become—was what drew my interest (and limited reading time these days). But it was the characterization which hooked me. While I wasn’t able to rush through it as I might have liked, having only time to read it in dribs and [...]

Another thoroughbred from the Musa Publishing stable, Her Name is a beautifully presented eBook, elegantly formatted and with stunning cover art. I was fortunate to win a copy of fellow author Alicia’s book because I would not normally read this genre and it gave me the opportunity to do so. I don’t have an e-reader so had to sit up at my clunky old desktop computer but I soon forgot I wasn’t in a comfy armchair with a paperback. The quality of the writing drew me in and I immediately like [...]

Ok i gave it a 4 star because it left a lasting impression. It's not the usual story we're accustomed to, so for people who like 'emotionally' light reading i don't think they'd like it. I was crying a bit a the end there.Unfortunately the ending gave me the feeling that we still have unfinished business left. So i'd like to ask the author to write a sequel, i'm curious to know what more will happen in Madison's life.

Can dreams come true!I did not know this writer and I'm glad I've been able to read her book. Two worlds that fuse together. Not a day-to-day story and it's very well written. It was a dream too good to be true. A love, puzzling, confusing but so romantic.

Bittersweet love story. This is an excellent novela that touched my heart and made me laugh a few times. The author did an excellent job weaving a tale of great love and missed opportunities. Really well done. Recommend reading.
