First of all I wanna thank You, dear Kilayla Pilon for Giveaway. This is copy I won:)I am not going to overtell the book, but I try to give honest opinion from my point of view :)I liked the book, but there are some things to keep in mind for next one You will write :)Like someone already said, there are some expressions You used too much. English is not my mother language, but I am sure there must be other good ways to say"screwed my eyes shut" instead using this at least 3 times:) It is always [...]

The writing for this book was very well done. It was descriptive and explained enough to know what was going on. It drew the reader in and kept them captivated. However, there were a few times where the words did not make sense. Probably from a lack of editing and not catching it. I also noticed that some words were overused, for example, “spit” used to describe talking was used very often. In the beginning of the book, the events seemed very random and didn’t really tie into the plot line [...]

The Prophet's Daughter is written by Kilayla Pilon. I don't even know where to start. So the book is VERY short and the price for it is $9.99 and for the paper back $12.95? What am I missing. And that is not all of it. I read the book not once, but twice and I am still left with the what the hell did I just read feeling. I have no idea what the author is trying to convey in this super short story and really have no idea what the point is. I can't see anyone paying the price for it either, I didn [...]

Italian review: tra-le-pagine-dei-librispFirst i wanna say a great thanks to the author who sent me a copy of the book! The Main character is Arin, a sixteen years old girl, who saw her parent's dead, apparently for no reason, and who escapes from the people who want to kill her.The world where she lives is dying for a disease that kills people.During this little escape she meets Seth and Isaac, two fugitives who are going to Ottawa, where there is a security camp.SoThe story goes really fast and [...]

First of all, thanks Kilayla for sending me the book.I honestly thought the story was a "been there done that" and the writing wasn't any better. Especially when you add all those little technical mistakes. But, even though it's just another teen fantasy, ita page-turner because the book really get the reader dying to know what will happen next-and not everybody knows how to achieve that. That, at the end of the day, prooves that-although there is much more work in front of the young author-this [...]

It's a book combined with almost every bit that you know about post-apocalyptic stories. There was a hint of everything from The Hunger Games to The Walking Dead. A two star rating for this one because maybe the whole post-apoc genre to me is nothing new. But a two thumbs up for Kilayla Pilon for publishing a book at such a young age! I got my own copy from the Giveaway, so thanks, Kilayla!

Arin Lovelock lives in a world where a large percentage of the population has been wiped out by an infection. She lives in the woods with her parents and has always been taught not to trust anyone outside the family. When her parents are murdered, Arin has no choice but to go out in the world to figure out why they were killed. A new dystopian teen read that draws a reader in.
