I received this book from for review purposes. I gave it to my 10 year old daughter. This is her review, in her words.I thought the author had an amazing imagination. There were some parts that gave me chills, like when the when the merqueen told the girl she'd have to pay the price for taking her rose. My favourite character was Adelaide because she was very heroic and brave. I liked the illustrations and the author's words.Charlotte, age 10

This was a pre-released children's chapter book I won on First Reads Giveaways. It is a cute little story about a 12 year old girl who longs for adventures and ends up in an enchanted forest when she visits her grandparents in Nantucket. The illustrations are sparse but beautiful. I think children age 8-12 will enjoy the adventures and the witty and hip dialogue.

This is about an adventurous twelve-year-old girl Adelaide and the experiences she has in an enchanted forest while visiting her Grandparents in Nantucket. The animal characters really come to life and the illustrations are beautiful. Children will love this story. I received this book for free through First Reads.

the hidden forest it a great book i dont like because it seems like a baby book because the cover but it is not it really about this little boy name aleidaide who father had died a yearlie after and now he has ambition in life

It isn't often you find a young adult book so magical and yet filled with wisdom, an underlying wisdom that catches the reader spellbound, turning the pages, anxious and delighted. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age. takes you to a sacred, special place.

Hidden Forest is a delightful story with the perfect blend of fantasy to capture a child’s imagination and the reality of learning a valuable life lesson. It’s now my go to book to buy as a gift for all my friends’ children and grandchildren.

The story is a lot like Alice in the wonderland, a mermaid become evil because a man, her grandfather, this part is too cheap for me, but I like the cat part.
