    The Bible and Epistemology got me in trouble. The concept of searching scripture for a philosophy of knowing rather than a natural philosophy or “pure” logic was something about which I was initially skeptical and later, enthusiastic. Indeed, I was so enthusiastic that I tried to find metaphors and illustrations to reduce the teachings of many scriptural passages into a few basic concepts. After all, if there was a unified understanding of what “knowing” meant in the biblical tradition, [...]

    The treatment of knowledge in the Bible is a topic that has long interested me and this book really helped me scratch the itch. It consists of several essays looking at how different books of the Bible treat knowledge of God and epistemology more generally. I read this over a few years as I focused on different books of the Bible. It's something I will definitely need to re-read in the future.
