    Wanted to read what the founder of Planned Parenthood has to say in her own words in this privately distributed pamphlet in the early 1900s. This work was distributed among the poor concerning methods of birth control some of which is rather outdated. Reading her quotes on eugenics in other works, I wanted to see how she applied her agenda when she addresses the poor and uneducated (which her pamphlet makes clear she's addressing).     I read this because it was brought up on Boardwalk Empire and I wanted to see what it had to say. Some wow reactions and some not too far off from today-very interesting

    Very interesting insight into popular thought and solutions to family planning at the turn of the century. It's heartening to see the progress made in this area. We still have far to go but at least we are no longer advising women to inject their vaginas with quinine or glycerine

    This piece has praise for being written in a time where such frank words would have been offensive in polite society. Reading the contents was humorous, astonishing, barbaric, liberating and frightening. Interesting information that makes me glad that I wasn't born in the early 1900's.

    I found this pamphlet really interesting and I can't imagine how desperate some women felt at that time. My heart goes out to the women of the past.

    Should be called "how to kill your baby."Sanger outlines birth control methods, some of which have been proven to be more dangerous to the mother than to the child.
