Bradt is the only travel guide that is currently covering Nigeria. Since I've not visited or know anyone who has, my critique is limited. Ms. Williams clearly has genuine appreciation for Nigerians, but the country sounds like an wreck (little infrastructure, depleted natural resources, and otherwise run down). All successful travellers have a strong sense of adventure, an open mind, and a lot of patience, but perhaps here they will be needed more than most places.

Wow, there was really nothing written positive about Nigeria. It starts off saying, "one of the world's most chaotic and dangerous placesfar from pleasant West African to travel."I was doing it on research since this is where my love roots is from and may have to visit in future. He said, "its not all bad as it seems in the book."

The top quotation on the back of the book: '"The author of this brave guidebook does not seek to over-sell the destination" The Independent'.
